<h2><strong>General information on the over-current tripping unit SB430ST</strong></h2>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Together with suitable transformers (1mV/A to 8,6mV/A), the electronic over-current tripping unit SB430ST is intended as over-current protection of electrical sub-surface equipment.</p>
<p>This overcurrent release <strong>is primarily used for monitoring frequency-controlled three-phase motors.</strong> Parasitic interference voltages are largely filtered out of the mains and therefore do not affect the device&#8217;s tripping characteristic.</p>
<p>It is characterised by low amounts of self-heating and a huge current setting range both for chronologically delayed over-current tripping (Ith tripping) and for short-circuit quick tripping. It monitors the presence of 3 phases with approx. 120° offset; otherwise, the section is interrupted by Ith monitoring and an alarm contact can report the de-energised condition of the corresponding relay. An analogue value provides 0-10V according to 0.07&#8230;1.4 x IN.</p>

<p><strong>1.2 Warranty and liability</strong></p>
<p>As a matter of principle, our &#8222;General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery&#8220; shall be<br />
applicable. Warranty and liability claims in the event of personal and/or material damage<br />
shall be excluded if these can be attributed to one or several of the following causes:</p>
<p><strong>1.3 Intended use</strong></p>
<p>The over-current tripping unit SB430ST is designed exclusively for the application options<br />
allowed for by the manufacturer.<br />
Any use exceeding the aforementioned shall be deemed improper. The manufacturer shall<br />
not assume any liability for damages resulting thereof. The risk shall be borne exclusively<br />
by the operator.</p>
<p>The concept of intended use also comprises the compliance with the operating,<br />
maintenance, and repair conditions specified by the manufacturer.</p>
<p><strong>1.4 Intended use</strong></p>
<p>In connection with the related transformers, the over-current tripping unit SB430ST serves<br />
for the protection of electrical consumers regarding the effects of overload and short circuit.<br />
When being used in sub-surface mines, the over-current tripping unit SB430ST must be<br />
installed into a housing of the ignition protection type &#8222;Flameproof enclosure d&#8220; pursuant to<br />
EN 60079-1.</p>
<p>The concept of intended use also comprises the observance of and compliance with any<br />
information and instructions from these operating instructions, as well as the observance of<br />
the relevant accident prevention regulations by the user at the application site.</p>

<p>It is not permitted to make any structural modifications to the SB430ST overcurrent release.<br />
Unauthorized modifications are strictly prohibited.<br />
It is not permitted to modify the SB430ST overcurrent release or use it for purposes other<br />
than those intended.</p>

<p>The SB430ST overcurrent release is a tested electronic safety component that must be<br />
installed in a type of protection &#8222;d&#8220; when used in areas of underground mines at risk of<br />

<p>the following requirements for safe use apply.</p>

Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in danger to persons, the environment,<br />
and the device. Failure to follow the safety instructions will void any and all claims for<br />
damages.</p>

<p>The PF7 phase sequence monitoring relay has been specifically developed for installation in switchgear used in potentially explosive atmospheres in industrial plants.</p>

<li>Due to the 3 phase AC, 50 Hz, mains voltage to be monitored with a max. possible rated operating voltage of max. 1,250 V AC (1,140 V AC +10%) the entire installed electronics inside the protective housing were fully encapsulated with insulating casting compound due to the high dielectric strength of the measuring input.</li>

<p>The phase sequence monitoring relay PF7 is used to monitor three-phase networks in switching and monitoring devices for three-phase electric motors in industrial plants.</p>
